The most common personal mobile device is the mobile phone. The modern smart phone is much more than just a mobile phone; it is a personal computer potentially managing sensitive data. Such data is used in interaction with other devices and users. To achieve privacy the user and the software developer can choose several approaches. We will in this paper discuss the role of NFC, UICC and secure elements when developing applications where privacy is a concern.
