1. Log in a Sun machine (e.g. persephone.tekno.chalmers.se)
   
2. Setup Lydian
3. Look at some demonstrations
• Broadcast with acknowledgement algorithm (file ack_brd_cast.exp)
  
• Ricart and Agrawala's Resource Allocation algorithm (file ResAloc_RA_1.exp)
• ... (algorithm descriptions are stored at $LYDIANROOT/Html)
  
4. Implement one of the algorithms: Resource Allocation Using Logical Clocks, Election Using Echo and Election Using Voting.
   
• Make new protocols
• Make new networks
• GraphWin menu was changed. All functionalities for creating Lydian networks will appear by pressing button Network.
  
• Use tool $LYDIANROOT/DIAS/nwconvert to convert file *.ipf generated by GraphWin to the correct format.
  
• Run new protocols on new networks. In the case students could not make new networks,  they can use existing networks that are suitable for  their protocols.
• Visualization type is ASCII monitoring.
