University of Tromsų and Telenor R&D coproject

The Computer Science Department has an undergoing coproject with
Telenor Research and Development here in Tromsų. The goal is to test
and evaluate current technologies for building small distributed and mobile
computer networks. We are using and combining both DSL based products running
on copper wires and radio based 802.11 (FHSS) products. The main goal is
to gather practical experience and hands-on experience with these kind
of technologies. We also want to learn more about the limitations and
strong sides of the different products.
